Four Cows and a Rodeo

This past friday we dressed up as cows and headed to our local Chick-fil-a for their Cow Appreciation days. Free meals were given out to those who made an effort to look like cows. Looking stupid is worth it for FREE food right??

Then in keeping with the theme we headed to a neighboring camp for their rodeo on Saturday night with some of our staff. We enjoyed some bullriding (watching of course), horse racing and lots of dust in the grandstands!!!! Kaden spent most of his time goofing off with our staff...one of his favorite Danni.
And then of course Matt...who brings out a wild side in Kaden.

Those are pretty handsome cowboys if I must say so myself!
At the end of the day, Ethan took some time to reflect down by the riverside.

Canada Continued

Here are some continued pictures from our visit to Canada. We had a great time, got to visit a lot of people, but as always it is good to be home!

Spent the day with some friends whose kids are similiar in age to ours. Kaden was a little wild for Shayna...she did NOT want his arm around her!!

We were also able to be a part of my aunt and uncle's twenty fifth anniversary and my cousins graduation. This was also the first time that my grandparents had their three great grandson's all together and there two oldest grandchildren.

This precious girl stole my heart! especially when she called me "auntie" ( we are not even related)!! How can you not love a face like this! We spent a lot of time over at my friend Christy's house. Her daughter Quinn was very hospitable to us and was also thankful when we'd come over so she could have some friends to jump on her trampoline with.

Party Time!!! Even the cat joined the party!

Mom made a cake and we had a early celebration for Ethan's birthday which is next week!

Happy 2nd birthday EV!

Here Ethan is flying a kite at my aunt and uncles.

Shoulder rides with my uncle and cousin out to the horse pasture.

The horse followed Ethan...

Relaxing with grandma....one of the few moments!

One of the biggest most loving dogs I have ever seen!

Enjoyed an overnight at great grandma and grandpas.

We are so blessed to have such loving family and friends!!!!!!!

Canada Eh!

Greetings from Canada. We are having a wonderful time with family and enjoying the beautiful summer weather! Here are some pictures of what we've been up to and who we've seen.

Uncle Ryan and Ashley...they bring out an even wilder side in Kaden!!!!!!! (if that was possible)

We headed to the lake for the day. Enjoyed some peanut butter and sand sandwhiches for lunch.

Brian and Ethan playing in the sand. It was beautiful sand and you could walk out into the lake for over a hundred feet before it got deep. This was on a sand bar some 20 feet out.

Kaden in the pyramid sand castle.

The water guns that Uncle Ryan brought for the boys.....the backpack carried 20 pounds of water and when Ethan put it on his back he feel over. From then on he pulled it around the yard. (sorry for the sideways pictures)

Kaden with gun.

Out at Great Grandma and Granpa's picking grass for the horses.

Ethan feeding the horses with Great Uncle Trevor.

Cookout with Great Grandpa.

Four-wheeler ride to the pines.

Kaden riding with Great Grandpa in the John Deer.....watch out Pops' riding lawn mower!!!!

Brian taking a swing at stilts...a tradition at the farm.

Saying goodbye to uncle Ryan.

We've had a good week so far. There will be more pictures to come.

Then Grama and Pops came over and we celebrated with him.....had a cookout....flew his remote control plane.......which ended up in the poison ivy filled tree's. It was a great day.

We head for Canada to see my family later this week.....so my next post will be from there.

Pools and Ponds

We had a wonderful memorial day weekend. The weather was beautiful. And good times with friends and family. We started the weekend out right with a dinosaur pool party! Funny how water attracts....everytime we were in our yard the kids from around the camp would come on up to "swim". (I use that word lighty since our pool is so small). Ethan stayed his distance after his accidental fall in with his clothes on!

Here is Kaden's inpiration. This guy can do no wrong in Kaden's eyes!

And of course, what is a pool party without popsicles!

On monday we headed to Grama and Pops' for a memorial day picnic. It was relaxing (as relaxing as it can be with two wild boys!). The boys had fun at the pond. Kaden was trying to touch the fish.......

..one almost got him!

Good times with the cousin's. Crystal is giving the kids an 'educational' lesson! Always a teacher...even on the days off!
Ethan really wanted a smooch from Olivia!

And then of course what is a get together without pictures of the kids. Look at these handsome young lads holding these princess girls!

Looks like Ethan has Ava in a neck lock...and Kaden looks like he just flicked Olivia in the back of the head!

And then of course Pops is always fussing........ "Kaden quit throwing that food in the pond....slow down....what a commotion!" While Grama and Ethan slowly and calmly feed the fish.
It was a fun filled weekend.

Family Fun Day

We have had a very busy week so....we decided to make today a 'family fun day'! And fun it was. After some searching ( the night before) for a fun place to take the kids we found this little hole in the wall. The boys had a blast at this Petting Zoo & Farm. They had some interesting things there based on nursery rhyms ...... this was "The Old Lady's Shoe". Brian is trying to save Kaden from the "Crooked Man's House" falling on him. Ethan is an innocent bystander.

Ethan saying hello to the goats.

It was a beautiful day for a hayride......
until the bloodthirsty spiders attacked!
Then we headed to the pine maze. We had to get real low.....!
and adventure through wooded terrain.
Finally we were victorious!

It was a great day with our buds!

In Disguise
