Fishing with Daddy

Today was the first day of fishing season. Brian got up early and headed out to the people-filled stream. Later in the morning he came back and got his new "Fishin' Buddy"! Kaden has been asking for days, if Today was the day they were going fishing?! Finally, the day was here. He requested a cheese sandwhich and a granola bar and off they went. While they fished, Ethan and I did some shopping (although he did say he wanted to go fishing.....I'm not sure Brian's ready for both of them!).
As soon as they got to the stream, Kaden started the morning off right by slipping in the mud and falling shin deep in the water( we need to get him some rubber boots). That didn't stop him. Later, Kaden called from the stream and was very excited about the fish he (and I mean Brian) caught. They had a great time. Kaden said he spit and threw sand in the stream to feed the fish....I now know why they didn't catch alot!!!

Spring is here....

We had an enjoyable sunday afternoon. You know when spring is here when our local ice cream joint Bonkey's opens. They sure make some of the best homemade ice cream. Yum.

Then to play off the treat we stopped at the park on the way home.

It is so nice now that the weather is finally warming up.

Turn in Season

We have been keeping busy this month of March.
We planted some seeds: marigolds, zinnia's, tomato and watermelon. The boys were good helpers!

Spent a lot of time outside since the weather has been beautiful. Ethan enjoying playing at the playground.

Kaden, with his first pet worm of the season. Unfortantely it did not live long.
As usual they are busy working and hauling dirt.

Now there big thing is to build ramps and run as fast as they can off them. Ethan is fearing for his life....he usually gets trampled!

And then of course, what good would a ramp be if you can't jump off it.

Doing the Hula With Pops

...what does a person do when the days are long, the weather is cold and it gets dark early? You play the Wii fit of course! You're a good sport pops!
