Tomato Theif

So early spring I started some tomato plants inside our house. Once the weather warmed I was able to move them outside and watch them flourish on our deck by the warmth of the sun. It has been fun watching them....and when I say watching, I mean it...like a hawk. Kaden has constantly been curious of the green tomatoe's hanging on the vine. The first two got to a decent size, but were both picked prematurely by my eldest son. Not to worry they did rippen on the window ledge in the kitchen...but oh how I was watching this third one...this was going to be the tomatoe that turned red on the vine.
Yesterday, both the boys were taking turns grasping at my prized fruit. It was a constant battle to keep them from picking it...Ethan kept saying, 'ball' as he would reach for it. I told Kaden that he had to wait till Wednesday to pick it. That was yesterday, Monday.
So this morning I came outside to check on my tomatoe and it was GONE! Are you kidding me.....I interrogated each family member extensively ...even the dog. Not a word as to what happened. It's a mystery......a sad, sad mystery!

365

My Oh My does a year go by fast. Here's what Kaden looked like one year ago.....still so awkward and unsure of the unknown. Now there is no fear as he climbs anything and talks a mile a minute!

Then Ethan, one day old...wondering what his personality would hold and now we are beginning to see a little toddler emerge.
What a reminder to treasure each and every moment through all of its stages.

The Toothless Birthday Boy

Tonight we celebrated Ethan's 1st birthday. His birthday actually isn't till sunday, but it worked better for us to have it tonight. Pops, Grama, Aunt Melanie and Uncle Jason came down to celebrate. It was very nice.

Here is a 'before the mess' picture.

Wardrobe malfunction.....if you look closely, the strap of his birthday hat is caught under his nose. I guess it must feel terrible!

Getting both paws in!

This is where Kaden said something to the effect of, "Get away from me you dirty animal!"

The birthday boy taking it easy in his new chair after a hard day of playing, eating cake and opening presents.

Our Little Emerald

Yesterday we enjoyed the beautiful weather at Dutch Wonderland. Brian took the day off, Grama and Pops came along, we had a great family day!

This was Kaden's first time at the park. He measures to be an Emerald and was able to go on most of the rides!

Kaden with daddy and Pops for his first roller coaster ride.

This ride was more Ethan's style. The first one...a plane that went around in a circle up and down.....he did not like...my stomache did not care for it much either!

Here the boys are taking us for a ride on Bigfoot!

The flume

Kaden really enjoyed the hand droven trains and caught on right away!

Happy 4th of July from this Amish family! (unfortunately Ethan had to be the girl)
