Birthday Celebration

Yesterday we celebrated Brian's 36 birthday!!! It was a great relaxing day starting off with a deluxe breakafast here at the house fit for a king. Then we went to church, read the paper while the kids had their afternoon nap and then for supper we met Brian's parents for supper at the SmokeyBones Restaurant. It was so delicious! We had a great day as a family together for his birthday!

Demolition Saturday

Home improvement time!
Today the boys starting tearing apart the porch. We had water and mold issues along the bottom of the wall and around the window.

Kaden was very eager to 'help' daddy!!! As always he likes to make sure that the job is level.
The boys are always under Brian's feet. Ethan is a little distressed here as the sheet rock dust 'snows' on him. Not to worry..........
....Kaden the super-vaccumer to the rescue. "I'll help you brother!" This unfortunately only made matters worse. Good thing it was the end of the day.
It was a good time to go inside and relax! Next week the project will continue.

To The Pocono's We Go

This past week we took a family vacation and headed to the Great Wolf lodge in the Poconos. We were also blessed to have Brian's parents join us for the trip.

While the weather was chilly outside, we enjoyed a nice 84 degrees in the waterpark. The kids had a bast going down the water slides.......

Enjoyed the endless amounts of splashing and spraying water......
Took some time to chill....
And then of course Kaden's favorite was soaking in the hot tub!

We had an incredible time of fun, laughter, relaxation...and then of course picking on Pops! (For a man who claims he never sleeps, he sure can SNORE!). We adults also got to enjoy the various tube rides. (We'll just stick to pictures of the kids!!!!!) We were all exhausted.

See you next year Great Wolf Lodge!

To The Cove

Brian and I had a chance to get away this past week to our yearly camp conference sectional. Every year a different camp hosts a three day retreat for people in camp ministry to learn, grow and interact with others in the camp ministry. Let me tell you, it was a much needed getaway! This year it was held at Sandy Cove. What a great place to get away. It was beautiful and very refreshing. Here are some pictures of our time there!

I love the boat in this background. I think someone forgot to put it away before the water froze!

Unfortunately, I was in a meeting and missed the exact sunset, but these pictures are still gorgeous!

This place was beautiful....even though the weather was cold. I can only imagine on a nice summer day what it would be like.

Special thanks to Brian's parents for watching the boys while we were away!!

You can check out their website at http://www.sandycove.org/

YeeHaw!

Yesterday, we took the afternoon and headed to the state farm show. After our nice trek to the complex we warmed up with some Turkey Hill ice cream!

Kaden enjoyed milking the cow and shooting it all over himself.

Then he went on this contraption (like a treadmill) that powered a sewing machine, butter maker and I'm not sure what else. I don't think that man ever saw it go so fast! It would be nice to have one of those at the house so he could burn off some energy!
We sat in this canoe made out of a tree. Just like 'Red Fox' had in a book here at the house!
They loved all the animals.
Silly kid! This picture makes me cringe as I think of all the wheelbarrow's full of manure that he stuck his hands in!!!!!!

Time for a snack. (Don't worry they washed their hands). Popcorn in their cowboy hats!

They were exhausted by the end of the day. (and so were we). Ethan trying to relax.

Poor Grama had the heaviest load to carry. Kaden's weary body!
