Canada Eh!

Greetings from Canada. We are having a wonderful time with family and enjoying the beautiful summer weather! Here are some pictures of what we've been up to and who we've seen.

Uncle Ryan and Ashley...they bring out an even wilder side in Kaden!!!!!!! (if that was possible)

We headed to the lake for the day. Enjoyed some peanut butter and sand sandwhiches for lunch.

Brian and Ethan playing in the sand. It was beautiful sand and you could walk out into the lake for over a hundred feet before it got deep. This was on a sand bar some 20 feet out.

The water guns that Uncle Ryan brought for the boys.....the backpack carried 20 pounds of water and when Ethan put it on his back he feel over. From then on he pulled it around the yard. (sorry for the sideways pictures)

Birthday Celebrations

Wonderful Birthday Wishes to One Cool Pops!!!!!!

It was a much needed restful day. Not only was it Pops' birthday but also our dog Sadee!! We celebrated with her at lunch where she enjoyed a chocolate cupcake! Then Grama and Pops came over and we celebrated with him.....had a cookout....flew his remote control plane.......which ended up in the poison ivy filled tree's. It was a great day.

We head for Canada to see my family later this week.....so my next post will be from there.

Pools and Ponds

We had a wonderful memorial day weekend. The weather was beautiful. And good times with friends and family. We started the weekend out right with a dinosaur pool party! Funny how water attracts....everytime we were in our yard the kids from around the camp would come on up to "swim". (I use that word lighty since our pool is so small). Ethan stayed his distance after his accidental fall in with his clothes on!

And of course, what is a pool party without popsicles!

On monday we headed to Grama and Pops' for a memorial day picnic. It was relaxing (as relaxing as it can be with two wild boys!). The boys had fun at the pond. Kaden was trying to touch the fish.......

..one almost got him!

Good times with the cousin's. Crystal is giving the kids an 'educational' lesson! Always a teacher...even on the days off!

Ethan really wanted a smooch from Olivia!

And then of course what is a get together without pictures of the kids. Look at these handsome young lads holding these princess girls!

Looks like Ethan has Ava in a neck lock...and Kaden looks like he just flicked Olivia in the back of the head!


And then of course Pops is always fussing........ "Kaden quit throwing that food in the pond....slow down....what a commotion!" While Grama and Ethan slowly and calmly feed the fish.

It was a fun filled weekend.

Family Fun Day

We have had a very busy week so....we decided to make today a 'family fun day'! And fun it was. After some searching ( the night before) for a fun place to take the kids we found this little hole in the wall. The boys had a blast at this Petting Zoo & Farm. They had some interesting things there based on nursery rhyms ...... this was "The Old Lady's Shoe". Brian is trying to save Kaden from the "Crooked Man's House" falling on him. Ethan is an innocent bystander.

It was a beautiful day for a hayride......

until the bloodthirsty spiders attacked!

Then we headed to the pine maze. We had to get real low.....!

and adventure through wooded terrain.

Finally we were victorious!

It was a great day with our buds!

In Disguise

Who's Who at The Zoo

What does a person do on a beautiful spring day? You head to the Zoo of course!! Here are my three favorite guys enjoying the wooded walk to the exhibits.

This picture makes my knee's and joints sore....I could hardly believe how there legs bent to eat the grass! Yikes!!!!!

Pops is on a diet!! Later he will quench his thirst with a coke. Nothing like washing down sugar with sugar.

As soon as Pops opened the bag of cotton candy the Polar Bear could smell it.

Kaden was also excited about his new found love......thank you Pops for introducing Kaden to this sugary treat!!!

It was a sweet day at the zoo!

Soccer Star in The Making

Kaden started soccer yesterday. I could hardly believe the swarms of people that were at the field waiting to release there precious three to five year olds to the care of a brave high school coach for an hour!! Wow!

Kaden recieved his orange soccer shirt....Go Orange Team!!!! And was ready to go stretching it out!

And then was off.

He did well as long as he had his own ball. He is definetly learning some lessons in sharing and patience. It is very good for him. Overall he enjoyed himself and keeps telling me he's ready to go back again next week. So I guess it wasn't that tramatic for him.

There were also no complaints from the fans who were very happy to spend the beautiful day outside!
