7 Years of Wedded Bliss

This past monday was the celebration of 7 years to my best friend! We had a great time. The boys stayed with Grama and Pops while we headed off for a childless getaway. It was great.
We went to Scranton....visited some friends Pam, Jim, Micheal and Dwight. We toured the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, did some shopping, and then visited Shrute Beet Farms. Very Intriguing!
It was also very interesting to us that Scranton is called the "Electric City" and yet endless amounts of business signs had burnt out bulbs. I think a person could make a living replacing those bulbs!
It was a great getaway!

Fall Fun

Here is an update from the past few weeks.......

The boys with their pumpkins and the spiders that they made in the background.

Kaden climbing on a tree that fell in a windstorm. He enjoyed playing on that more than the treehouse we built him. If I would have known that, we would have dragged a dead tree into our yard instead!!

Ethan trying to be like his big brother.

Two not so happy ducks for Halloween. I can tell that their going to love this picture when they get older!
Melanie and Hannah came for a visit this past weekend...actually for a work weekend, but we still had a great time seeing them.

Here the kids are raking leaves....while I take pictures?!

A Blog from the Past

It's about time I get around to blogging about the great time I had with my family when they came to visit! Thanks Mom for nugging me on! Indeed, they came from Canada and Australia to enjoy the wealth and prosperity of this country. But mostly our company!!!! Here is our week in pictures.

My Sister, Ethan and Mom.

Before they came, the muffler pipe on our car was making a racket. On the way to the outlets, the pipe fell and was dragging on the highway. Here they are trying to lift the car so we could pull the muffler off and keep going. (of course we didn't find the jack's until the job was almost over!) Looks like my sister is doing most of the lifting!!!
Uncle Ryan with Kaden on a bike ride!

Poor Jen didn't get any rest when she was here. My brother put this onion on a pillow in front of her nose while she slept.

The boys with Papa Don and Computer Grandma.....(that's what Kaden calls my mom cause we always talk to her by video on the computer)

Kaden and Papa Don
One afternoon we got dressed up and had a relay race...girls against boys. It was exhauating but the girls definetly pulled it off and won!

Here we are looking normal....my mom, sister, me and my brother.

We had a great time. It was sad to see them leave, but we were able to make a lot of great memories while they were here!

A day in NYC

My brother is down visiting from Canada for the week. His dream finally came true to visit New York. Yesterday, we got on the train at 5:00 in the morning and arrived in NY at 8:30.

First stop...The Today Show

Here's a picture of me with Anne and Meredith... I tried very hard to get on TV and meet them. It did not work!
We enjoyed the beautiful weather in Central Park.

Ryan trying to lick the Statue of Liberty!
We also went to 911, Wall Street, Times Square and then of course endless amounts of walking and riding on the train. It was a lot of fun. We got back to Etown at midnight!

Special thanks to Grama and Pops for watching the boys for us!

The Beach in September

Last week we packed up the kids, the camper and all of our needed belongings. Then, Grama, Pops and the four of us jumped in the truck and headed to Ocean City for a week of memories! It didn't take long for adventure to begin....we didn't even make it a half hour down the road when the GPS (not really the GPS....my fault for touching it and changing the destination) told us to take and exit and head back the way we came from. After moments of confusion, hard braking and swerving of the steering wheel we got back on course! I might as well of, and I quote, 'cut my tongue out' because of the confusion that I caused!

Here is the rest of our trip in pictures.

Grama and Kaden trying not to get soaked by the waves.

"Now where did I bury Kaden?"
A cool day at the beach! As you can tell in the background, there wasn't a soul for miles!

Getting ready to leave the beach.

Pops and Ethan taking a swim.

Kaden so proud to be fishing with daddy!

The boys feeding the seagulls.

Kaden enjoying his first candy necklace!
Hanging out at the Boardwalk.
We had a great time, and now we are trying to get some rest from our vacation!

Six Kids + Four Adults = a weekend of fun!

We had a great time when friends came to visit this past weekend. The kids had a blast playing with each other. One day we went to the state park for a picnic. The kids had a fun time playing in the water...while Krista and I were petrified that one would go under! We were out numbered six kids to two adults! They all did well though.

Kaden and Elayna splashing each other.

Ethan and Silas just chillin'!

The whole gang.

It was a great time of fun and fellowship!

Where have we been?

Here is the last three weeks of what we've been up to in pictures.

We solved the bee situation. Brian took the panels off in our house and sure enough there was a hive. Here he is pre-bee shot...in his protective wear!

Kaden and Ethan had a fun time playing in a trailer of black mulch. Needless to say it took a few days to wear off.
We enjoyed the fair...Ethan driving the tractors.

Kaden kissing the butts of all the petting zoo animals!???
The goats were very amused by Ethan and vic versa.
We spent some time at the state park. Picnic lunch and swimming. Things have really slowed down around the camp. It's been really nice. We have some friends visiting with their four kids. I will snap some pictures and update with the crazyness of that next!
